synchronising sound

Synchronising sound:

Tom Joyce conducted a sound workshop where he showed us how to use different software to have good sound with in our work.Along with this he showed us how to record sound with a microphone. He then showed us how to sync up the sound with our footage. 




He also told us to make a sound at the start of recording so when it comes to editing you can link them up perfectly, as you know where it begins.

Pitch:

For our pitch we presented our idea to the rest of the class. A handful of people said that they would go watch our film as they liked to enigmas we had within the film.

They also said they would watch it due to the fact that we had a strong independent women as our main character therefore breaking the stereotype.


Overall our pitch went well.

The imitation game released in 2015 was directed by Morten Tyldun. The film was nominated for an Oscar and won for best writing, adapted screen play.

Entertainment Film is a British distributor of independent films in the UK and Ireland for a variety of  production companies, currently run by Nigel and Trevor Green. We chose Entertainment film as a distributor, due to the fact that they are a British and independent. They have released films such as 17 again, Austin powers goldmember, the lord of the rings twin tower and many other highly rated films.                  

Editing

Here is a photo of the process of me editing my 2 minute film opening.

The process has been long , however the film is starting to come together.

Lighting

Lighting:

 

Here are some photos from the dark room were we tested out different lighting. We firstly tried adding a shadows to the face by placing a candle next to the face to create a warm side effect to one side of the face  and a dark shadow on the other side.

 

We also did the same thing however with a studio light, to create a brighter light to one side of the face and a light shadow to the other side.

 

We also experiment with a different coloured lights such as blue to create a cool/cold affect to the face.

 

By doing these experiments it can very much help us with our filming , as by having different lighting it can create different tones and add affects to different situations. For example a dark lit room can give off the connotations of something that is going to go wrong, for example a horror.
